World Children’s Day Fun Carnival

HeARTS • Minds • Reimagine

19.11 - 20.11

World Children's Day is an international day established by the United Nations and commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child drafted by Eglantyne Jebb, founder of Save the Children, on November 20, 1959. It is also the date in 1989 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
In honor of World Children’s Day, Save the Children Hong Kong raises awareness of issues that impact children’s development and call for actions, so together, we can create a brighter future for children.

World Children's Day Fun Carnival:
HeARTS • Minds • Reimagine

This year, the theme of the World Children's Day event will focus on healthy development of children through the power of art. Almost three years into the pandemic, children in Hong Kong and around the world have had their learning disrupted and social and emotional wellbeing affected. We are also experiencing the worst global hunger crisis in decades, where the future of many children are at risk.
To bring hope and a healthier future for children, Save the Children Hong Kong has prepared a series of activities and carnival with the theme of art, in the West Kowloon Cultural District and Wan Chai Lee Tung Avenue.

S.A.M.'s full name is Severe Acute Malnutrition, which is threatening to children under the age of five. Currently, there are 13.6 million children are suffering in a worrying situation.

Save the Children's [QR] for Hunger campaign has saved many children from hunger, helping them to become healthy SAMs.

However, saving children from hunger is only the first step. Ensuring them attain the rights to survive, being protected, learning and development are the main purpose of our organization. Now, let's draw SAM a happy childhood with a bright future.
